Children Carnival and Annual Baby Show at Golden Bells

Golden Bells Public School, Sector – 77, Mohali organised Children Carnival and
Annual Baby Show in the school premises here today.
More than 100 children from Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and nearby areas participated in the baby show. There were 4 categories for different age groups i.e. A= 1 – 1 ½ year, B= 1½ - 2 year, C =2 – 2½ year and D = 2½ – 3 year, separate for boys & girls. The show was brightened up by the well attired cute ‘n’ little lovable babies, who stole the hearts of one and all with their
innocence and charm.
Mrs. Simerpreet Kaur (Chairperson, Hospital Welfare Section, Red Cross, Mohali) w/o Mr Varun Roojam, I.A.S., Deputy Commissioner, Mohali inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon and wished the success to the young participants. Mr. A.S. Grewal (Managing Director, Gary Arts, Mohali) and Dr. (Mrs.) G.K. Nanda (President, Woman & Child Welfare Association, Mohali) were the guests of honour.
The panel of judges comprising efficient housewives, expert teachers, experienced doctors and renowned dieticians judged the kids on the basis of their general health, hygiene, confidence and attitude and categorize the show in three categories as ‘Most Active Baby’, ‘Most Healthy Baby’ and ‘ Most Attractive Baby’. Side by side children as well as parents and grandparents enjoyed the
carnival enthusiastically.
There were lots of thrilling and attractive events like camel ride, toy train, Mickey Mouse bounce, and different stalls for games and eatables were attracting the kids and parents’ attention. Special games were also organised for parents and grandparents of the participants. Whole of the atmosphere was colourful and delightful.
On the occasion, free refreshment coupons were given to all grandparents. Complimentary joy rides on the toy train and gifts were given to all participants.
At last, crowning ceremony of the position holders of all categories was done. Dr. (Mrs.) G.K. Nanda awarded the winners and appreciated the dedication and teamwork of the school.
The chairman of the school, Col. C.S. Bawa (Retd.) presented a token of love and reverence to the chief guest and extended a vote of thanks to parents, staff and children for their whole hearted contribution in making the event successful.
