Rich tributes paid to Bibi Badal on her second death anniversary

Eminent personalities from all the walks of life today paid floral tributes to late Bibi Surinder Kaur Badal on her second death anniversary in a function organized here at Gurudwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In a function organized by MLA Malout Mr. Harpreet Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal along with the senior leadership of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) was also present.

Striking an emotional chord with the gathering, the Chief Minister in his address, said that late Bibi Surinder Kaur Badal had a special affection with the residents of Malout area due to which she played a vanguard role in the all-round development of this area, till her last breath. Expressing gratitude to the people of Malout for showering love and respect to the Badal family especially to late Bibi Badal, he said that they would ever remain indebted to the people of the area for this noble gesture. Mr. Badal said that Malout has a special place in his heart and no stone would be left unturned for developing it as a model city. Thanking the people of the area for rallying solidly behind the Badal family in all sorts of situation even in the most tiring circumstances, the Chief Minister said that they would continue to serve the constituency with full zeal and dedication to cherish the aspirations of people of Malout besides realizing the unfulfilled dreams of late Bibi Surinder Kaur Badal .

Paying homage to late Bibi Badal, Cabinet Minister Mr. Anil Joshi said that owing to her extraordinary qualities of humanism and dedication towards service of people, she would ever remain a source of inspiration for the coming generations. He said that late Bibi Badal’s initiative of assembly wise Langar Sewa at Sri Harmandir Sahib was a true service towards humanity.

On the occasion MLA Malout Mr. Harpreet Singh said that late Bibi Badal shared a strong bond with the people of the area adding that under her leadership Malout has witnessed unprecedented development.
