The Punjab Government has reconstituted 22 district level and 78 sub divisional
level Vigilance Committees under Section 13 of Bonded Labour System (Abolition)
Act 1976.
Disclosing this here today a spokes person of the Chief Minister's office said
that the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal had cleared the file in
this regard this afternoon.
District level Vigilance Committees chaired by Deputy Commissioners had been
reconstituted in Amritsar, Barnala, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot,
Ferozepur, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala,
Ludhiana, Mansa, Moga, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Sri Mukatsar Sahib, Patiala,
Sangrur, SBS Nagar, Tran Taran and Roop Nagar.
Likewise, the Sub-divisional Vigilance Committees would be headed
by the Sub-divisional Magistrates in their respective sub divisions comprising
Hoshiarpur, Philaur, Amritsar-I, Amritsar-II, Ajnala, Baba Bakala, Barnala,
Tappa, Bathinda, Talwandi Saboo, Rampura Phul, Fatehgarh Sahib, Amloh, Bassi
Pathana, Khamano, Faridkot, Jaiton, Ferozpur, Zeera, Jalalabad, Abohar,
Gurdaspur, Derababa Nanak, Batala, Pathankot, Dharam Kalan, Dasuya,
Garhshankar, Mukerian, Jalandhar-I, Jalandhar-II, Nakodar, Shahkot, Kapurthala,
Sultanpur Lodhi, Bhullath, Phagwara, Ludhiana East, Ludhiana West, Jagraon,
Khanna, Raikot, Samrala, Payal, Sardulgarh, Budhlada, Nihal Singhwala,
Bhaghapurana, Mohali, Kharar, Derabassi, Mukatsar, Giddarbaha, Malaut, Patiala,
Nabha, Rajpura, Samana, Patran, Roopnagar, Chamkaur Sahib, Anandpur Sahib,
Nangal, Sangrur, Dhuri, Moonak, Sunam, Lehra, Malerkotla, Nawansehar,
Balachaur, Tarantaran, Khadoor Sahib, Patti, Fazlika, Moga and Dharamkot.
