Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) result announced

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) result has been declared. With the declaration of the result the decks are cleared for the admission to 102 Top B-Schools including XLRI and Management Institutes who are selecting students from XAT 2012.

Free Helpline Launched                                                 

Chandigarh- based Aryans Business School (ABS) which is the only XAT allied Private B-School in Chandigarh region has started free result helplines for XAT aspirants on which students would get the result. Aspirants can call on 98762-99888 or 98765-99888 from 9 am to 4 pm and can get the result. This would be beneficial for those students who don’t have internet access or who have connectivity problem. Students have to call on these numbers with XAT ID and password.

Students should apply in time

It is to be mentioned that students should not ignore the importance of admission process of top business schools, otherwise they would be losers. They should start applying to the B-Schools before the cutoff dates.

Pawan Bansal honors University toppers with laptops

Exhorting the student community to rise to meet the challenges being faced by India, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal said it was time we moved ahead of the idea of “argumentative Indians” and aspire to become “Reasoning Indians”. 

Addressing a massive gathering of students at Scholars Felicitation Function at CGC Gharuan, Sh. Bansal said India is today competing for its rightful place in the world and depends heavily on its demographic dividend of having a huge chunk of younger population.

“Please remember that while we all talk of this demographic dividend, that advantage is directly linked to our ability to provide good education that helps our youth get good jobs. If we fail to provide such education, this advantage can easily turn into a huge dis-advantage, rather a threat to our advance,” the Union Minister said.

On this occasion Mr Bansal honored Punjab Technical University’s toppers with laptops and scholarships. Mr Bansal specially congratulated student duo Raghu Gupta and Manu Gupta, both brothers, for scoring first & fourth positions in Engineering Diploma. Significantly, the CGC has awarded both with full fee concession for the entire course. The announcement was met with loud cheers from the students.

The Minister also gave away cash prizes to large number of university toppers of CGC, including Ravi Goyal, Hapreet Singh and Manik Gupta who stood first, second & third, respectively, in PTU in Journalism & Mass Communication, Megha Padha, Jatin Sharma, Sarabjeet Singh and Karandeep Singh who stood second, fourth, seventh and eighth, respectively, in PTU in B.Tech. Punjab records 76.63 per centage polling

  The Punjab polling today concluded peacefully with state recording 76.63 poll percentage till the reports reaching here by now. It was exceeded last assembly poll percentage marginally that was 75.47 percent.

 According to Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu, poll percentage in Pathankot district  was 71.93%, Gurdaspur 75.33%, Amritsar 72.33, Tarn Taran 69.03, Kapurthala 79.22, Jalandhar 74%, Hoshiarpur 74.56%, Nawan Shahar 78%, Ropar 75.95, SAS Nagar 76.01, Fatehgarh Sahib 81.10, Ludhiana 76.23%, Moga 79.33%, Ferozepur 82%, Fazilka 78.67%, Mukatsar 84.73%, Faridkot 79%, Bathinda 78.33%, Mansa 81%, Sangrur 79.48%, Barnala 82.28% and Patiala recorded 78.33% polling as per reports reaching headquarters by 8:30 p.m.

                Guru Harsahai recorded maximum polling of 90% whereas minimum polling of 65% was recorded in Tarn Taran.

Meanwhile Ms. Kusumjit Sidhu thanked people of Punjab for their overwhelming participation in the election process and keeping the elections relatively incident free.
                Addressing the media Ms. Sidhu said that according to the initial estimates sent by various districts poll percentage in Punjab may cross 75% and she was hopeful that it would surpassed last year’s poll percentage. She said that people, political parties and candidates at large have cooperative with the election commission and polling process in the state was relatively incident free.
She said that up to 4 p.m nine FIRs were registered in various districts relating to minor scuffles between rival groups and one media person was assaulted in Nabha by a political worker. She said that one old lady, who had come to cast the vote collapsed in the polling station due to natural reasons and according to the late evening reports one person has died in an incident of firing in Ferozepur Rural and two others were injured. Details of the incident were awaited, she added.
                Ms. Sidhu said that according to the initial reports there were no booth capturing and according to the initial reports prima facie she doesnot find any reason for re-poll but decision would be taken after seeking final reports from the ROs. She said that six TV channels including Aaj Tak, Star News, Zee News, PTC, Times Now and NDTV and three news papers including Ajit, Dainik Jagran and Jag Bani have been issued notice for violating code of conduct on poll day. She said that on a complaint the Media Monitoring Committee monitored the content of PTC coverage and found that it was intervening more SAD-BJP leaders than opposition and decision would be taken by ECI.
               Thanking various departments including Police, Excise and Taxation, Information Technology NIC and others for their cooperation to complete this herculean task of polling in a hassle free manner. She also thanked media, print and electronic for cooperating with the election commission and deciminating the message of election commission to the masses.

Aryans organises valedictory function of NSS camp

The NSS Unit of Aryans College of Education (ACE) organized valedictory function on the concluding day of seven-day NSS camp held in village Nepra. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. A detailed camp report was presented by Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, ACE.

During the weeklong NSS camp various events were organized to inculcate the idea of social work like cleaning the surrounding and educating the village children, plantation, rallies, Street plays etc. Various Cultural activities were held during time of the camp.

Dr. Anshu Kataria congratulated the NSS volunteers for organizing such a successful camp. Dr.Kataria also appreciated the NSS volunteers for inculcating the social service in youth by organizing various activities throughout the seven days special camp. “By attending the camp, the students could learn a number of things that are not available in normal course of classroom education”, Dr.Kataria Further added.

While appreciating the NSS volunteers, Dr.Manjula Kataria said that NSS volunteers should involve themselves in community service in rural and slum areas. She further said that that there is no peak in learning as learning is a continuous process till the end of life.

GNDU to honour Narayana Murthy and KS Duggal

NSS camp inaugurated at Aryans College of Education

The NSS Unit of Aryans College of Education (ACE) inaugurated 7 days NSS Camp in village Nepra. The Camp was inaugurated by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges. In his inaugural address Dr. Anshu Kataria emphasized that this type of activities link the students to the community enhancing the mutual cooperation between the students and the community.

On this occasion Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, ACE emphasized that healthy social environment is very important for the development of the society. These types of camps help in the healthy channelization of the energy of the youth.

Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Vice Principal, ACE motivated the students for campus cleanliness. It is to be mentioned that Volunteers will be cleaning the area, organizing medical camps, first aid camps, veterinary camps, lecture demonstrations and AIDS awareness programmes. Villagers will be briefed on road safety rules, and eating healthy food and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A blood Donation camp would be organized by NSS Unit on Valedictory Day.
