The
NSS Unit of Aryans College of Education (ACE) organized valedictory
function on the concluding day of seven-day NSS camp held in village
Nepra. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided
over the event. A detailed camp report was presented by Dr. Manjula
Kataria, Principal, ACE.
During
the weeklong NSS camp various events were organized to inculcate the
idea of social work like cleaning the surrounding and educating the
village children, plantation, rallies, Street plays etc. Various
Cultural activities were held during time of the camp.
Dr.
Anshu Kataria congratulated the NSS volunteers for organizing such a
successful camp. Dr.Kataria also appreciated the NSS volunteers for
inculcating the social service in youth by organizing various activities
throughout the seven days special camp. “By attending the camp, the
students could learn a number of things that are not available in normal
course of classroom education”, Dr.Kataria Further added.
While
appreciating the NSS volunteers, Dr.Manjula Kataria said that NSS
volunteers should involve themselves in community service in rural and
slum areas. She further said that that there is no peak in learning as
learning is a continuous process till the end of life.
Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Vice Principal, ACE emphasized that
student community in general and NSS volunteers in particulars can help
to a large extent to eradicate various social evils still prevailing in
the society by their awareness campaign. He further said that that the
camp was the best example of national integrity as people of different
religions and caste cooperated with each other in making the camp a
great success.
It
is to be mentioned that Aryans 20 acre campus is situated on
Chandigarh- Patiala highway. The group is running MBA, BBA/ BCA, B.Ed
and Engineering College.
