Since 1962, Schools have been celebrating Teacher’s Day on September 5. The day commemorates the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher and a teacher par excellence. Hence, the Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm, fun and frolic at Golden Bells Public School, Sector-77, Mohali.
On the auspicious occasion, students highlighted the importance of the day, by giving a brief speech. The students of class-X taught to junior classes with their great effort and confidence. Students also enjoyed their teaching and maintained the discipline in the classes. The best boy and girl ‘student teacher’
was selected and awarded.
Many interesting games like antakshari, tambola, paper dance andm usical chairs were organized and winners were awarded accordingly. Various titles were given to the teachers showing love and affection by the students towards their teachers.
Different cultural programs like Bhangra and remix dance by boys and girls added flavor to the program.
School management honoured staff members with gifts and refreshment was arranged
for them.
In the end, Col. C.S. Bawa (Retd.), Chairman of the school congratulated the teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and appreciated the efforts done by the students on this occasion. He also advised the teachers to uphold the noble values attached to the esteemed teaching profession and the students should
emulate the teachers as their role models.
