With filing of 32 more nominations by 29 candidates on the 4th day of nominations in Punjab for General Elections to Lok Sabha-2014, the total number of nominations already filed till date has touched 77.
Disclosing this here today, Mr. Supreet Singh Gulati, Additional CEO, Punjab said that in Amritsar district Capt. Amarinder Singh (INC), Mr. Daljit Singh (AAP), Mr. Pardeep Singh (BSP) and his covering candidate Mr. Satpal Singh (BSP) have filed their nomination papers. He further said that in Khadoor Sahib Mr. Sucha Singh Mann (BSP) and his covering candidate Smt. Balbir Kaur (BSP), in Jalandhar Mrs. Manjeet Kaur (Independent) and Mr. Vijay Hans (Independent), in Hoshiarpur Mr. Om Parkash Jakhu (Independent), in Anandpur Sahib Mr. Himmat Singh Shergill (AAP) and Mr. Davinder Kumar Verma (Independent), in Ludhiana Mr. Jai Parkash Jain (Independent), Mr. Navjot Singh Mandair (BSP) and his covering candidate Smt. Jasvir Kaur Mandair (BSP), in Fatehgarh Sahib Mr. Paramjit Singh (Independent), Mr. Sarabjeet Singh (BSP) and his covering candidate Mr. Gurmail Singh (BSP), in Faridkot Mr. Gurcharan Singh (Independent), Mr. Sant Ram (BSP) and his covering candidate Smt. Baljinder Kaur (BSP), in Patiala Sh. Bheem Singh and Sh. Ravinder Singh (Both Independent) have filed their papers. Similarly, 7 nominations were made in Sangrur.
It may be mentioned here that there would be no nominations on April 6 and April 8, both public holidays being Sunday and Ram Naumi. The nominations could be filed on April 7 and April 9.
