Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training is providing a golden opportunity for the candidates who have passed 10+2 with science, 10+2 with vocational subjects, ITI or two years
certificate course from SLIET Longowal to obtain direct admission to 2nd year of three year diploma engineering courses through Lateral entry scheme.
There are more than 20,000 seats in 109 polytechnic colleges available for direct admission in the 2nd year diploma courses namely Mechanical Engg., Civil Engg., Electrical Engg. Computer Engg., Information
Technology, Electronics & Communication Engg., Architecture and many more.
The prospectus for Lateral Entry will be available from 20th May 2011in all the district Suvidha centres at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Punjab. The online version of the forms will also be available on the website of the Board i.e. www.punjabteched.com. The admission to Lateral entry shall be made purely on the merit of 10+2 /
ITI exam. The details regarding the admission procedure and no. of seats available institute/ course wise is available on the Board’s website.
The students can avail this opportunity to save one academic year for doing three year diploma and subsequently seek direct admission in 2nd year of four year bachelors of engineering programme i.e. B.E. The last date for submission of completed application form is June 11 either in person or through registered post.
