AMRITSAR,
AUG 11
The chief of SGPC S. Avtar Singh Makkar has
declared that new modern museums based
on the concept of Central Sikh Museum, will be set up in Gurdwaras especially
in border areas so that the youth may learn about the history of the Sikhs and
may be diverted towards Sikhi ultimately refraining them from menaces like
drugs.
S.
Makkar declared this at a historical Gurdwara of village Sourian during a one
of its kind Dhadi Darbar organized by SGPC member S. Surjit Singh Bhittewad and
Miri Piri Dhadi Sabha. S. Makkar said that the initiative taken by the S.
Surjit Singh will bring ripe fruits for Sikhs as many will be inspired from the
tales of valor and sacrifices sung by the Dhadis.
He
said that the trend turning towards non Sikh practices i.e. becoming Patits is
too dangerous for the existence of Sikhism so it has become too important to
route the youth toward Sikhism either by educating them or inspiring them with
Katha, Vaars, Kirtan, Paath etc.
S. Makkar also advised the SGPC members to propagate
the true Sikhi and principles of Khalsa in their areas so that the working of
Parchar Committees may improve.
S.
Makkar further said that the educational institutes, medical institutes and
other facilities by SGPC are set up on the state of the art infrastructure. He
inspired the parents and students to become complete Sikhs so that they may
avail all the facilities especially reserved for Amritdhari Sikhs.
During
this gathering S. Veer Singh Lopoke in charge constituency, S. Rajinder Singh
Mehta, Rana Ranbir Singh, Rajinder Singh Raja, Manjit Singh and others were
present.
