The first ever Inter-Khalsa College Youth Festival was today held at Khalsa College for Women (KCW) in which the students from all 12 Khalsa Institutions showcased their talent in the cultural bonanza. The singings competitions, fancy dress, mimicry, skits, debates, discussions, Kawishri, group shabad gayan, poetry, panting and cartooning competitions were held.
Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina who inaugurating the two day long festival, said the Khalsa Institutions have been growing in numbers in the last one decades and thus the decision as taken to arrange in-house youth festival for providing the students an opportunity to show their talent in various disciplines.
KCW Principal Dr.Sukhbir Kaur Mahal said they were proud to see the students competing in diverse fields and they were happy to host the festival. Khalsa College Principal Dr.Mehal Singh, Dr.JS Dhillon, Dr.Amarpal Singh Dr.SP Kaur Dhillon, Dr.RK Dhawan, Dr.Jaspal Singh and others were present during the festival.
