World Health Day Celebrated at KCPS, KCW

AMRITSAR, APRIL 8 
World Health Day was celebrated at Khalsa College Public School to make students aware about importance of good health and how to maintain good health. An eminent doctor Dr. Amandeep Kaur from local Amandeep hospital addressed the students asking them to be careful for the physical and mental health. 
``Both physical and mental health is interlinked. By taking good balanced diet and involving ourselves in outdoor physical activities, we can keep ourselves physically healthy. Mental health depends on good positive thinking and healthy environment’’, said Dr. Amandeep Kaur.
 Principal Dr. Sarvjit Brar thanked guest speaker Amandeep Kaur for sharing valuable information with students and encouraged the students to have good physical and mental health by taking good balanced diet, avoiding junk food involving in physical exercises and having positive thinking as the `healthy mind resides in the healthy body only. 
Health Awareness Camp at KCW too
Similarly, a general health awareness camp was organized at Khalsa College for Women (KCW), today to mark the World Health Day yesterday. College Principal Dr. Sukhbir Kaur Mahal inaugurated the Camp and addressed the students highlighting the need to know well-being of individual's health. She congratulated the co-ordinator Dr. Manpreet Kaur and other members for taking up the initiative. About a hundred students underwent the tests, she said.
