Dr. Sukhi and Singla appointed chairpersons of district planning committees

Punjab Government today appointed Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi and Mr. Joginder Pal Singla as the Chairperson of District Planning Committee, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshehar) and Fatehgarh Sahib respectively. 
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson   of the Chief Minister's office said that the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today gave his nod to appoint both Dr. Sukhi and Mr. Singla as Chairpersons of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (Nawanshehar) and Fatehgarh Sahib respectively under the Clause 3 Sub-clause (6) of Punjab District Planning Committee Act, 2005. The Spokesman further informed that the formal orders regarding these appointments would be issued shortly.
Meanwhile the Chief Minister also cleared the file regarding the transfer of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faridkot Mr. Ravi Bhagat, IAS has been now posted as Deputy Commissioner Amritsar. Likewise DC Amritsar Mr. Rahul Tiwari IAS under transfer has been now posted as Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ludhiana and Chief Administrator GLADA. The charge of DC Faridkot has been given to DC Moga, Mr. Arshdeep Singh Thind IAS till further orders.  
The Chief Minister also gave approval for the appointment of Mr. Harinder Singh Sra, the District Development and Panchayat Officer (DDPO) Mansa as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, in addition to his existing duties.
          The Chief Minister also approved transfers of two senior IPS and a PPS Officers. Mr. Iqbal Singh Sahota and Mr. RP Mittal both IPS officers, available for posting, have been posted as ADGP (Provisioning) and ADGP (PAP) respectively. Meanwhile SP Vigilance Mr Upinderjit Singh Ghuman, PPS has been transferred as posted as SSP Barnala.        
          Officers available for posting as result of these transfers would be posted later on, added the spokesperson.
