FJS Bajwa holds Sukhbir responsible for economic crisis

 Mr. Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa Vive President Punjab Pradesh Congress committee (PPCC) said that Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal was responsible for economic crisis in Punjab and asked him to quit the government to allow financial position improves.
In a statement here Mr.Bajwa said that it was beyond the capacity and control of Badals to come out of economic crisis and it would be in the interest of Punjab if they opt out of government. He said that Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal was not in control of administration and it is Mr. Sukhbir Badal who is calling shots. He said that Mr.Sukhbir Badal had failed on every front and he has learned from his father to speak lies with impunity.
Mr.Bajwa said that PPCC President has demanded to issue white paper on the economic position of Punjab. He said it was strange that SAD-BJP government was not ready to issue white paper. He said that government properties were being sold or mortgaged to pays salaries of staff. He rejected the claim of Mr. Sukhbir Badal that financial condition of state was good. He said that media was exposing the hollow claims of government everyday.
Mr.Bajwa said that Punjab has topped in the country in taking overdraft for 107 days in a year. He said that it was shameful and alarming that SAD-BJP government has directed the treasuries not to clear salary bills of three lakh employees. He said that welfare schemes started for the poor people were discontinued. He said that 86000 applications of Shaguns scheme were lying pending since the year 2009.The CITCO has stopped supply of petrol to the Punjab Government vehicles due to non-payment of dues of Rs. one crore. The government employees were not paid last two installments of Dearness Allowance. The collection of tamp duty had fallen to Rs.982 crore from the targeted figure of Rs.3480 crores.
He said that state government had liability of Rs.9300 crores of debt payment every year. The government has taken a loan of Rs.9285 crores during the current year. He said that PUDA has so far given Rs.1500 crore to the state government after taking loan against its properties. The PWD department has also been directed to get a loan of Rs.1000 crores. He said that if same situation continued, Punjab would be declared bankrupt state.
