Punjab Govt invites applications for house allotment till March 8

The Punjab Government has invited the applications from its employees for the allotment of Punjab Government accommodation situated at sector 39-C and D till March 8, 2013.
A spokesman of the Punjab Government today said that the regular employees working in the various departments of the Punjab Government, whose basic pay on 30-06-2011 (pay band+ grade pay) was between Rs 14710 to Rs 20999, would be eligible to apply for category-3 houses.  Besides that those employees whose basic pay falls between Rs 8780 to Rs 14709 (pay band+ grade pay) on said date could apply for the category-2 houses. The spokesman further said that the employees, having basic pay to Rs 8779 would also be able to submit applications for category-1 houses.
The spokesman said that all those employees who have fulfilled the above said conditions should deposit their applications with the   Administrative Officer-1 branch, Room no 22, 6th floor, Punjab Civil Secretariat till March 8, 2013. Besides that, those employees who were earlier occupying government houses and their basic pay has increased,  would also be eligible to deposit their application for the houses of category 2 and 3.  
He further said that the applications received after March 8, would not be entertained. Besides that the departments which had constructed houses/flats for their employees at Chandigarh or Mohali, their employees would not be eligible to send their applications according to the norms.

Directive to ensure proper respect to Tricolour
          The Punjab Government has directed the Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and SDMs of the state to ensure proper implementation of the provisions contained in the Flag Code of India 2002 and Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act 1971.
          Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the government said that strict action would be taken against the concerned officials and individuals/organizations for any violation of the provisions contained in the said Act and the Flag Code of India.  Adding further he said that the punishment would be of three years of imprisonment, a fine or both.
 Information sought for confidential report of Secretariat employees
           The Punjab Government has directed the Chief Secretary, financial commissioners, principal/special Secretaries, Additional/Joint Secretaries and Deputy/Under Secretaries and others to submit the details of the personal/General staff attached with them by March 31 to the government so that their confidential reports for 2012-13 could be submitted in April 2013.
          Disclosing this year today, a spokesman of the government said that the father's name was mandatory along with other details of the employee posted in the Secretariat staff.
