In a bid to overcome acute shortage of staff in the Punjab State Cooperative
Banks (PSCBs) across the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh
Badal has given nod to appoint 25 Senior Managers and 70 Managers through
direct recruitment besides 500 Clerks-cum-Data Entry Operators through a
reputed recruitment agency in a transparent manner.
According to the spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office, Mr. Badal cleared
this file to this effect agreeing to the proposal mooted by the Punjab State
Cooperative Bank to fill these vacancies so that the Core Banking System (CBS)
could be implemented in the right earnest. The newly appointed Senior
Managers and Managers would be entrusted with the task of handling the latest
banking facilities of ATMs/RTGS/NEFT/CTS in these banks. The
Clerks-cum-Data Entry Operators would be recruited through the designated
recruitment agency in a centralized manner on the basis of merit of written
test and would be posted in the 20 Central Cooperative Bank and Punjab State
Cooperative Banks in the state.
