The newly established Khalsa College at Chawinda Devi has introduced two new bachelor level courses, Elective Punjabi and Physical Education for the next academic session 2012-13. Principal of the College Dr. PS Dua said that the courses had been introduced following a huge demand from locals who found the College, being run by the historic Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC), as a major boon for the higher studies.
The College is already running BA/BSc. Economics, Bachelor of Commerce (Professional), BCA, Dress Designing Diploma in Stitching and Tailoring.
Dr. Dua said the College is spread in ten acres of land with ultra-modern new building having well stocked library and experienced staff and they wanted to introduce some more new courses in the coming
times as per the demand of the people in the area. The KCGC has already announced incentives and scholarships for the meritorious students.
