World Wetlands Day celebrated at Golden Bells

Environment Protection Society, SAS Nagar, today organised declamation contest on Importance of Wetlands and Tourism in Golden Bells Public School in Sector 77 here today.
Dr. D.S. Gill (Professor Emeritus, Department of Chemistry, Panjab University, Chd.), Sh. A.N. Sharma (Chairman, Senior Citizens Pensioners Council, SAS Nagar) and Sh. Bhupinder Singh (Senior Vice President, Environment Protection Society, SAS Nagar) were the eminent judges.
Teams from different schools took part in this declamation contest. The topic was the “Importance of Wetlands and Tourism”. All children spoke very well on the topic. They expressed their views on this alarming situation which is going to affect whole world very soon.
Results: Declamation contest: Junior team:  1 Purnoor (St. Xavier’s School), 2 Paramveer Singh (St. Soldier International Convent School), 3 Shivam Chaudhry (Golden Bells Public School).
Senior team: 1 Navneet Kaur (Shivalik Public School), 2. Anitinder Kaur (St. Xavier’s School).
In the end, Col. C.S. Bawa, Chairman, Golden Bells Public School, thanked Mr R. S. Chaudhari and eminent judges of Environment Protection Society and also congratulated the winning teams.
