Punjab to regularize contractual ANMss

CHANDIGARH, MAY 5
            The Punjab Government would regularize all the contractual Health Female workers (ANMs) who have completed three years of service in the state.
A decision to this effect was taken by Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal during a meeting with a 10-member deputation of Contract Multi Purpose Health Workers (Female) Union, Punjab led by its State President Ms. Narinder Kaur here late last evening at the Chief Minister’s official residence.
After giving a patient hearing to the grievances of the deputation, the Chief Minister directed the Principal Secretary Health Mrs. Vini Mahajan to immediately chalk out the modalities to regularize these health workers against all the 1154 vacant posts in the Health Department and for the adjustment of the remaining take up the matter with Government of India (GoI) for early creation of about 400 additional posts. Mr. Badal assured the deputation that all the Auxiliary Nurses Midwives (ANMs) would be adjusted positively besides, their all other genuine demands would also be considered on priority
