CHANDIGARH, JUNE 9
Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, President, Shiromani Akali Dal
today welcomed the announcement of Bhartiya Janata Party announcing Narendra
Modi as chairman of 2014 Poll Campaign Committee and said that this
announcement would mark the beginning of decimation of corrupt, inefficient and
insensitive UPA II government from Centre.
In a statement issued here, he said that people of
country were looking towards National Democratic Alliance to save the country
from the clutches of most corrupt UPA government. He said that appointment of
Mr. Narendra Modi as Chairman of Poll Campaign Committee of BJP, the biggest
alliance partner of NDA would be catalytic in NDA’s victory march in 2014
elections.
He said that Mr. Modi has shown his capability and
calibre in successful poll campaigns of Gujarat and we should utilise his
services to effetely chalk out NDAs campaign, projecting the failures of
UPA-II. He said that Shiromani Akali Dal has remained an inseparable part of
NDA and would continue to support BJP in all its moves and decisions to oust
Congress Party from the power.
