`Eco-Sikh’, a Washington (US) based NGO, head Dr. Rajwant Singh
today delivered a highly motivational lecture to `Super-50’ students, preparing
for various competitive engineering examinations at Khalsa College Public
School. He asked the students to set high targets in life and then devote
entire energy through the hard work to achieve the targets as he asked students
also to care about the deteriorating environment.
He said EcoSikh has already initiated various Green Projects
including the one for the `holy city’ of Amritsar in which the public opinion
is developed in plant more trees and check the pollution of the environment. He
in the presence of School Principal Dr.Sarvjit Kaur Brar stated that
unconventional methods of energy and water harvesting must be adopted by the
people to save depletion of the natural resources.
EcoSikh Project India’s Manager Ravneet Singh meanwhile said
that he would like that Khalsa Public School ties up with the various schools
in US and UK to further the green projects around the world and share the
school level educational initiatives. Dr.Brar thanked Dr. Rajwant for the
inspirational lecture which she said would go long way to motivate the students
to work hard to succeed in competitive examinations and finally in life.
Dr Brar also asked the students to study with single minded
devotion and taking the message from Sikh Gurus they should work to protect the
environment by planting more trees. She appreciated the work undertaken by the
EcoSikh worldwide to save environment.
