The Punjab Education Minister, Mr. Sikander Singh
Maluka, today categorically said that there was no proposal of closure of all
primary schools having less than 20 students.
He said that where two or more
schools in a locality or village and one school have less than 20 students only
there such schools would be merged.
Reiterating the Punjab government’s
commitment to provide quality education, Mr. Maluka said that the Education
department would make all out efforts to ensure education to the little kids
that too near their houses.
