Badal mourns death of veteran actor AK Hungal

Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of veteran Indian cinema actor Mr. A.K. Hungal (95) who died at Mumbai this morning.
          In a condolence message the Chief Minister said, "Mr. Hungal was a versatile actor and his unforgettable roles in nearly more than 200 films would ever regale his fans for his superb performance. The Chief Minister said that Mr. Hungal was a Punjabi who left an indelible mark on the Indian cinema through his offbeat performance and charismatic personality and would be ever remembered by one and all for his unique performance both in Hindi films and TV serials.
          In the death of Mr. Hungal a void has been created in the Indian Cinema and television which was difficult to be filled, added Mr. Badal.
          Sharing his condolences with the bereaved family of Mr. Hungal, the Chief Minister prayed to the Almighty  to give courage to bear this huge loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul. 
 Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal expressed deep grief on the demise of  Indian cinema icon Hangal, who passed away today at the age of 95 in Mumbai.
           In a condolence message, Mr. Sukhbir said described the death of Mr. Hangal as great shock to the entire Indian cinema and end of an era of Indian cinema. He said that Mr. Hangal has a massive contribution to Indian cinema and theater by acting in more than 225 films especially his act as ‘Rahim Chacha’ in world renowned ‘Sholay’ was unforgettable. He said that beside Bollywood, Mr. Hangal also put scores of milestones on television.
          Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, Mr. Badal said that basically Mr. Hangal belongs to Punjab and he was born in Sialkot (In Pakistan now) before independence. Mr. Badal also prayed the Almighty to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed soul.
