CHANDIGARH, JUNE 19
Congress President Ms Sonia Gandhi has approved the
candidature of Arun ‘Mickey’ Dogra for Dasuya bye-election scheduled to
be held on July 11.
Disclosing
this here today, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt
Amarinder said, following the recommendation by the PCC, Ms Gandhi
approved Dogra’s name yesterday.
He
expressed confidence that the party will win the bye-election as people
had got disillusioned with the Akali-BJP government. He said, the party
has chalked a comprehensive campaign programme to ensure victory from
there.
Arun Dogra is the son of former Minister Ramesh Chander Dogra who has represented Dasuya constituency a number of times.
