Parminder Dhindsa seeks special financial support sought for Punjab.

NEW DELHI/CHANDIGARH, JUNE, 14
 The Punjab Finance and Planning Minister  Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa called on Mr. Parnab Mukherjee, Union Finance Minister, yesterday late evening in his office North Block here. It was his first meeting with the Union Finance Minister.
During the meeting Mr. Dhindsa requested for a Debt Relief Package for the Punjab. He also requested to include the Punjab along with West Bengal and Kerla whenever a debt relief package is announced by the Govt. of India.
Mr. Dhindsa  pleaded that a committee of the finance commission has already been recommended for a debt relief package to the Punjab, West Bengal & Kerla. He also sought the financial support from the Govt. of India under various central schemes to help the common men and particularly poor peoples of the state.
Responding to all the  points raised by the Punjab Finance Minister,                Mr. Parnab Mukherjee, Union Finance Minister assured Mr. Dhindsa for all possible financial help to the Punjab and also include the Punjab in debt relief package whenever it is announced by the Govt. of India on the recommendation of the finance commission.
Mr. Sumit Bose, Secretary Expenditure, Govt. of India was also present in the meeting.
