CHANDIGARH, NOV 21
According
to a spokesman of the Transport Department Punjab, the fancy vehicle
number PB-65-T series would be auctioned on December 2, 2012 in the
office of District Transport Officer Mohali.
The
spokesman further said that open auction would be held under the Punjab
vehicle rules and the reserved price for the PB-65-T -0001 has been
fixed at Rs. 50,000 where as the price for PB-65-T-0002 to 0010 has been
fixed at Rs. 10,000. Adding further, he said that similarly the
reserved price for PB-65-T-0010 to 0100 has been fixed at Rs. 3000 where
as the price for PB-65-T-0101 to onward have been fixed at Rs. One
thousand.
He
also said that interested persons could submit the application with
bank draft in the name of DTO Mohali by the December 5, 2012.
131.02 LAKH TONNES PADDY PROCURED IN PUNJAB
Various Government agencies and private millers procured more than 131.02 lakh tonnes of Paddy till last evening
Out of total procurement of 13102554
tonnes of paddy in all the procurement centers of Punjab, Government
agencies procured 124.91 lakh tonnes of paddy (95.3%) till date whereas
private traders procured 610811 tonnes (4.7%) of paddy. Till October 20,
PUNGRAIN had procured 36.86 lakh tonnes (29.5%) whereas MARKFED
procured 28.37 lakh tonnes (22.7%). PUNSUP procured 28.55 lakh tonnes
(22.9%), PSWC procured 12.52 lakh tonnes (10.0%) whereas PAIC was able
to procure 12.92 lakh tonnes (10.4 %) of paddy.
The Central Government agency FCI had been able to procure 566812 tonnes (4.5%).
The
spokesman added that District Ludhiana with 15.53 lakh tonnes of
procurement was leading in procurement operations whereas district
Sangrur a 15.12 lakh tonnes of procurement was at second slot and
District Patiala with 12.20 lakh tonnes of procurement ranked at third
position.
The
State Government has set up 1770 procurement centres and activated its
total machinery to ensure smooth procurement of paddy, the spokesman
added.
DEPARTMENTS TOLD TO SUBMIT REPLIES IN COURTS 3 DAYS PRIOR TO HEARING
The
Punjab Government has issued instructions to all departments to ensure
that replies to all court cases should be submitted to the court 3 days
prior to the listing of the case.
An
official spokesman today said that High Court has taken serious note of
replies being submitted by various departments at the last moment that
hinder the day to day working of courts. Any delay in this regard would
invite penal action. Instructions have been issued to all the Financial
Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries to the State
Government for meticulous compliance of the orders of the Hon’ble Punjab
& Haryana High Court.
