CHANDIGARH, NOV 17
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed
profound grief and sorrow over the
sad demise of Shiv Sena Supremo Mr. Bal Thackeray who passed away after a brief illness at Lilavati Hospital
in Mumbai, this evening. He was 86 and survived
by two sons.
In
a condolence message Mr. Badal described Mr. Thackeray as real leader of masses, who worked
relentlessly to safeguard the rights of the Maharashtrians till his last breath. He said that in his death a
void had been created in the national political
canvas, which was hard to be
filled in near future. Mr. Badal
shared his heart-felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to give
courage to bear this irreparable
loss and grant peace to the departed soul.

Singh Badal, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister expressed shock at the demise of Bal Thackery.
In a condolence message, Mr. Badal said that in the death of Mr. Bal Thackeray,
the nation has lost a leader, whose contribution in giving distinct identities
to regional parties would be remembered by all. He said that Mr. Thackery inculcated
a sense of patriotism amongst our youth by communicating with them in their
dialect.
Sharing heartfelt sympathies with Mr. Udhav Thackeray and other members of
bereaved family, Mr. Badal prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed
soul and strength to them to bear this irreparable loss.
Punjab Local Bodies Minister Chunni Lal Bhagat today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of Bal Thackeray, who died in Mumbai.
In a condolence
message, Mr. Bhagat said that the death of Mr. Bal Thackery, the nation has lost a
leader, whose contribution in giving distinct identities to regional parties
would be remembered by all. Mr. Bhagat also shared his heartfelt sympathies with the
members of the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to give strength and
courage to bear this loss and grant peace to the departed soul.
