Capt Amarinder, Sukhbir and Majithia condole Gujral's demise

CHANDIGARH, NOV 30
 Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of former Prime Minister IK Gujral.
Remembering the legacy of Gujral in a condolence message, Capt Amarinder said he was much more than a politician.
Recalling Gujral's contribution to Indian politics and diplomacy, Capt Amarinder added that 'Gujral Doctrine' which was aimed at strengthening the relations with the neighbours was proof of Gujral's vision of the region as a compatible whole.
"The country will miss a great visionary," he said in the message.
The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Mr. I.K. Gujral (92). 
In a condolence message Mr. Badal said that Mr. Gujral would be dearly remembered by the people of Punjab for his benevolence for waiving the loan during his term and sanctioning Pushpa Gujral Science City for the state. He said that he always raised the issues concerning Punjab in Delhi in a forceful way.
Mr. Badal expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Mr Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Public Relations Minister, Punjab  mourned the demise of former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral.  
In a condolence message, Mr Majithia said that the demise of Mr Gujral, a great diplomatic politician, has left a void in the political arena of the country. He said that Mr Gujral’s contribution to the nation, especially for Punjab would always be remembered for generations to come. He said that it was Mr. Gujral, who waived a huge debt of Punjab and brought economic prosperity in the state. He said that Pushpa Gujral Nari Niketan in Jalandhar and Pushpa Gujral Science City on Jalandhar-Kapurthala Road were his immense contribution to Punjab.
