CHANDIGARH, FEB 28
Mr. Joginder Pal Jain, candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) today won the Moga Bye Poll with a margin of 18849 votes.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the CEO Punjab today said that Mr Jain defeated the Indian National Congress candidate Sathi Vijay Kumar. He further said that out of total 130300 votes counted during 14 rounds of counting, Mr jain has got 69269 votes, while his archrival Mr Sathi has bagged 50420 votes.
Besides that 7401 votes has been polled to PPOP candidate Dr Ravinder singh dhaliwal, followed by SAD (M) candidate Mr Birinderpal Singh, who got 822 votes. He said that Gurmeet singh Ranghreta of PLP has received 459 votes, Jaswant Singh Bedi of IKL 221, Shri Ram Denwyal IND 215, Hardev Singh IND 304, Chhinder Singh IND 403 and Rajinder Singh IND has got 786 votes.
