Preparation begins for Budget session

Preparations for ensuing budget session in Punjab began with Punjab Legislative department issuing instructions to all departments to appoint Nodal Officers to coordinate with Vidhan Sabha regarding legislative business.

According to an official spokesman, instructions have been issued to all departments to name a coordinative-cum-liaison officer who would coordinate with Chief Minister Office regarding call attention motions and other starred and non-star questions. Departments have been asked to submit the draft bills to the legislative departments one week before the session and they have been told to supply answers of the questions three days in advance.

Strict instructions have been issued to departments to ensure that concerned liaison officer does not leave headquarter during Vidhan Sabha Session.
