Rotational irrigation program from Feb 12 to 19

Punjab Irrigation Department has announced the Rotational Program for irrigation for the Rabbi Season through Canal water from 12-2-2013to 19-2-2013. The channels and branches off-taking from Ropar Head Works, the channels of Sirhind Canal System would run on the priority basis from Bist Doab Canal, Sidhwan Branch, Bathinda Branch, Patiala Feeder and Abohar Branch, respectively.

           Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the Irrigation Department said that direct distributaries of BML in Group ‘A', being in the channels of first preference, would run to their indent. Balance water supplies available, would be utilized in Ghaggar Branch and Patiala Minor of Group ‘B’, respectively.

The spokesman further said that Punjab channels and Branches off-taking from Harike and Ferozpur Head Works, all the Direct Distributaries of Sirhind Feeder in Group ‘A’, being in the first preference, would run to their indent. Balance water supplies available, would be utilized in Abohar Branch off-taking from Sirhind Feeder and its distributaries, in Group ‘B’.

            The spokesperson also said that in the Upper Bari Doab Canal system, Lahore Branch with its distributaries, being in the 1st preference, would run to their indent. Balance water supplies available, would be utilized in, Main Branch Lower, Kasur Branch Lower, Sabhroan Branch, with their distributaries, respectively
