The Punjab
Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, today extended his warm greetings to
the people of the State on 636thParkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidass
Ji - a great spiritual preacher and messiah of the poor and downtrodden section
of the society.
In a
message Mr. Badal said that Guru Ravidass ji preached us the ideology of love,
compassion, mutual tolerance, universal brotherhood and humanity through his
philosophy and had made concerted efforts for bringing social equality thereby
eradicating the evil of casteism from the society. “His significant
contribution towards carving out a classless society would be ever remembered”,
said the Chief Minister.
Mr.
Badal further stated that Sri Guru Ravidass ji propagated the values of
humanism through his teachings which are still relevant in the present
materialistic world. He urged the people to follow the path shown by the great
Guru and for the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of the society for
bridging the gap between have and have-nots for the creation of a classless
society. Mr. Badal also appealed the people to celebrate the 'Parkash
Utsav' of Guru Ravidass Ji in unison by rising above the petty considerations
of caste, colour and creed.
Punjab
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today greeted the people ahead of
Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Ravidas ji.
Congratulating
the people the Deputy Chief Minister said that Guru Ravidas ji embodied the
spirit of humility and human dignity. He said that the message of Guru Ravidas
ji have been a source of knowledge and wisdom for whole society. His life and
teachings would always inspire us to create a humane and just society, where
every individual is given due dignity, regardless of his or her caste, creed,
religion or gender, he added.
Mr.
Sukbir Singh Badal said that his message of love, compassion and equality would
continue to inspire us to serve humanity with dedication and devotion in times
to come.
Mr.
Bikram Singh Majithia, Public Relations Minister, Punjab today greeted the
people of Punjab on the eve of 634th Parkash Utsav of Guru
Ravidass Ji.
Congratulating the people, Mr. Majithia called upon the people to build
casteless and classless society, which was envisioned by Guru Ravidass ji, who
gave the message of oneness, peace and communal harmony.
Mr. Majithia said that real tribute to revered Guru Ravidass would be to follow
the path of righteousness, self-sacrificed shown by him for uplift and
betterment of mankind.
