CM okays land in Mohali to general administration department

CHANDIGARH, FEB 1
In a bid to facilitate the people of the state, Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today approved to allot 0.98 acres (4743.2 sq. yards) of land to Punjab State General Administration department for the construction of their office complex in sector 79, SAS Nagar (Mohali).
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the CMO informed that Mr. Badal has cleared the file in this regard and PWD being a nodal agency  would pay Rs. 7,11,48,000 to GMADA for this land@ Rs. 15000/- per yard as per the land allotment rules for the government departments.
It may be recalled here that Punjab State General Administration department had planned to shift their all scattered offices under one roof in Mohali to avoid undue harassment to the general public.
 CHIEF JUSTICE VISITS PUNJAB AG OFFICE
The Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Mr. Arjun Kumar Sikri today visited Punjab Advocate General office at High Court premises. He was accompanied by Mr. Justice R.K. Jain. Mr. Ashok Aggrawal, Advocate General (AG), Punjab welcomed Chief Justice Mr. Sikri and Justice Mr. Jain.
AG Mr. Aggrawal apprised Chief Justice about the working of the office and various kinds of services being rendered by the office of AG at Chandigarh and New Delhi. While having informal conversation with the Additional Advocate Generals, Chief Justice Mr. Sikri lauded their work and exhorted them to work sincerely and diligently for the proper deliverance of justice.
