Ten candidates in fray for Moga bye election

CHANDIGARH, FEB 9
 After the withdrawal of nominations as many as 10 candidates remained in the fray for the Moga Bye Election. Meanwhile RO Moga has also allotted electoral symbol to all the candidates.
A spokesperson of the CEO Punjab said that nominations of 11 candidates were found valid after the scrutiny of the papers on February 7, out of which one Independent candidate Mr. Gurbachan Singh has withdrawn his nomination papers today.
He further said that RO Moga has allotted electoral symbol to all the candidates. Electoral Symbol ‘Scales’ has been alloted to Mr. Joginderpal Jain of SAD , ‘Hand’ to Sathi Vijay Kumar of Congress, ‘Kite’ to  Dr. Ravinder Singh Dhaliwal of Peoples Party of Punjab, ‘Candles’ to  Mr. Jaswant Singh Bedi of Indian karantikari lehar, ‘Scissors’ to Mr. Birinderpal Singh of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), ‘Gas Cyclender’ to Mr. Gurmit Singh Rangreta of Punjab Labour Party, ‘Television’ to Mr. Hardev Singh, ‘Bat’ to Mr. Shinder Singh, ‘Diesal Pump’ to Mr. Ram Denwyal and ‘Ceiling fan’ to Mr. Rajinder Singh an independent Candidates.
 TWO IAS OFFICERS GET  ADDITIONAL CHARGE
    The Punjab Government today given the additional charge to two IAS officers in the state with immediate effect.
Mr. A.R. Talwar IAS Secretary Technical Education, in addition Chairman, Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training and in addition Principal Secretary Information Technology will also hold the  additional charge of Principal Secretary Higher Education and Languages, in addition to his present assignments till 15.3.2013 i.e. during the period of Smt. Ranveet Kaur IAS is on Child care leave.
          Mr. Dharam Pal IAS Special Secretary, Science Technology & Environment will also hold the additional charge of Special Secretary Technical Education and Industrial Training against vacant post.
