Punjab Chief
Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over
the sad demise of Correspondent of the Daily Post Mr Sukhwinder Singh
Malhi (61) who passed away in a fatal road accident. He is survived by
mother, wife and a daughter
Recalling the
outstanding journalistic services rendered by Mr Malhi during his professional
career, the Chief Minister described him as a fearless and upright journalist
who discharged his duties with utmost dedication, sincerity and professional
commitment to pursue the ultimate goal of freedom of press in true spirit. Mr
Badal observed that in the death of Mr Malhi a void has been created in
the journalistic fraternity which was hard to be filled in the near future.
Sharing his
heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family, the Chief Minister
prayed to the Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give
them courage to bear this irreparable loss.
