FATEHGARH SAHIB, APRIL 18
Continuing its campaign against smuggling of
narcotics, the Fatehgarh Sahib police today arrested Rajwinder Singh @ Raju
Rasheen s/o Maghar Singh r/o village Rasheen, PS Raikot ( Ludhiana), an aide of
international drug smugglers Anoop Singh Kahlon and Jagdish Bhola and relative
of Ravi Deol along with 5 kg of pseudoephedrine of worth Rs. 5 crore in international
market.
Disclosing this
here today, Mr. H.S. Mann, SSP, Fatehgarh Sahib said that a police party led by
ASI Darshan Singh laid a naka at Jassran Rajbaha and during checking of a white
colored Ford Endeavour vehicle bearing registration number PB-07-z-0606, 5 kgs
of pseudoephedrine wrapped in a polythene was recovered from Rajwinder Singh @
Raju Rasheen s/o Maghar Singh r/o village Rasheen, PS Raikot ( Ludhiana). He
said that an FIR No. 100 dated 18-04-2013 has been registered u/s 22/61/85 of
NDPS Act at police station Gobindgarh.
The District
police Chief informed that this narcotic material was being used in preparing
‘Ice’, a most sought after drug for rave parties. He informed that during
preliminary interrogation Rajwinder Singh @ Raju Rasheen said that he was the
class fellow of Gursewak Singh Dhillon r/o Toronto since last 15/16 years and
native of village Leel, PS Pakhowal of district Ludhiana. He said that
Gursewak Dhillon was a regular visitor to India. He admitted that he was
getting pseudoephedrine from his relative Ravi Deol and already arrested
smuggler Harpreet Singh s/o Baljit Sngh r/o Banwala PS Patran district Patiala
to further supply it to Gursewak Singh. He also admitted to send
pseudoephedrine number of times to him. Mr. Gurpreet Singh, SP/ Detective
expressed confidence of further disclosures by arrested smuggler.
