Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amrinder Singh expressed
profound grief and sorrow over the passing away of Union Minister and
former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh, who breathed
his last in a Chennai hospital this afternoon.
In
a condolence message, Capt Amarinder said the death of Mr. Deshmukh was
a colossal loss to the Congress party. He said Mr. Deshmukh was a
seasoned politician and an able administrator who strived tirelessly for
the upliftment of the poor. He said Mr Deshmukh’s loss would be deeply
felt.
The
PPCC chief also expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the members of
the bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the
departed soul and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
