new set of instructions for the deduction of income tax from employees' salary.
DDOs (Drawing and Disbursement Officers) were made responsible for the regular
deduction of income tax and to deposit it to Income Tax Department.

official spokesman of the General Administration Department said that all the
officials/officers, whose salary through all means is more than Rs.2 lakh in
the financial year 2012-13, should furnish the information on prescribed
Performa by 15 September, 2012. He said that the employees should also mention
the tax relief-able savings in given column of the Performa. He said that this
information would enable the authorities to deduct the income tax in equitable
installments.
The spokesman clarified that the
any employee, who wished to change the GPF subscription for the year 2012-13,
he could get it done in the salaries of months March and October. He said that
this information should reach the office by 10th of above mentioned months. He
said that in the absence of this required information, the income tax would be
deducted every month on average in equitable installments. He further said that
