Second half holiday for Punjab Government employees

CHANDIGARH, AUG 7

The offices of Punjab Government, Boards and Corporations and also educational institutions located in Chandigarh and Mohali will remain closed for the second half of 7th August 2012, (Tuesday), to enable the government employees to participate in ‘Sobha Yatra', to be organized on the eve of Sri Krishan Janam Ashtami.

            However the offices of State, Boards, Corporations and also Education Institutions in rest of the State would remain closed for the second half of August 8th, 2012 (Wednesday).

            A notification in this regard has been issued to all Heads of Departments and Managing Directors of Boards & Corporations, Registrar, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Commissioners of all the Divisions, Deputy Commissioners of all Districts and SDMs of all Sub-Divisions throughout the State.
