The profession of
veterinary doctors is turning a big hit for the students as the aspirants and
their parents today throng the Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences
(KCVAS) to get admissions in various courses. Principal of the College, Dr.SK
Jand said that they have already completed the admissions for the First year of
Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and he was overwhelmed that the courses
including this and Bachelor of Animal husbandry were becoming popular amongst the
students.
``There is so much
enthusiasm for the courses. The counseling for the management quota seats is on
and we will fill all the seats within the fortnight’’, said he. KCVAS is the
only private College in the state, said he adding that in the agrarian state of
Punjab, the livestock’s health and well-being is highly important to watch the
interests of the farmers and veterinary doctors can play a valuable role in
achieving the targets.
