CHANDIGARH, JAN 31
The Shiromani Akali Dal President and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal, has convened an important meeting of all the senior leaders of the party on February 4 at 3.00 p.m at Kingdom Resort near Bughipura Chowk, GT Road Moga to launch campaign of the SAD-BJP combine candidate Mr. Joginderpal Jain for the Moga bye election.
In a statement released from the party head office here today, the party Secretary and Spokesman Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema informed that patron of the SAD and Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal would address the meeting in which all the senior leaders including Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, MLAs, former MLAs, District Presidents, SGPC members and other senior leaders of the party would participate.
Dr. Cheema said that the party President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal has asked the party leaders to avoid using government vehicles as election code of conduct was in force and also not to use red beacons atop their vehicles. He has also asked these leaders to restrict to minimum the number of gunmen accompanying them. He said that meeting would deliberate upon the strategy to effectively conduct campaigning in favour of Mr. Jain and zone wise duties would be assigned to all the leaders.
