Sukhbir Badal thanks Delhi Sikh Sangat

by Punjabnewswire4u
CHANDIGARH, JAN 30
The Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today profusely thanked the Sikh Sangat of Delhi for overwhelmingly ensuring the win of Shiromani Akali Dal in Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee elections and giving them an opportunity to restore the old glory of historic Gurdwara Sahiban.
In a statement issued here today, the SAD President said that he was overwhelmed with the love and affection shown by Sikh voters of Delhi and reiterated his resolve to fulfil every promise made in the manifesto. Mr. Badal said that this election is a reminder to Sarnas that those who would stab in the back of Sikh community by hobnobbing with Congress, would be severely punished by them. He said that he had been reiterating that Sarna was acting as a proxy for Congress party by pressurising witnesses of 1984 anti Sikh riot cases to protect Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar and ensuring their acquittal in different cases. He said that Sikh voters of Delhi have  shown the exit door to Sarnas for his act of treachery and now the next step for SAD was to ensure early conviction of all accused of 1984 Sikh massacre. Mr. Badal said that SAD would continue to fight till every accused of largest ever massacre of Sikhs were given exemplary punishment.
Describing the elections to DSGMC as eye opener for traitors of Sikh Panth Mr. Badal said that Sarnas have not learnt any lesson from history. He said that any person who plays the game to undermine the authority and supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib had to bite the dust. Mr. Badal said that let us vow today to maintain this supremacy and defeat every such back door nefarious design by Congress party to interfere in the internal religious affairs of the Sikh community.
Thanking Capt. Amarinder Singh for campaigning for Mr. Sarna and his stooges, He said that his intensive campaign for Gurdwara elections has exposed the ‘secular’ face of Congress party.
Challenging Congress party for being prepared for same fate in Moga bye election Mr. Badal said that his singular mission was to decimate Congress party from the political scene of the country and he was now preparing to make Congress party extinct in 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

It's victory for Khalsa Panth, says Badal

by Punjabnewswire4u
CHANDIGARH, JAN 30
The Shiromani Akali Dal Patron-in-Chief and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal today described the resounding win of the SAD  in the DSGMC poll as a "victory of the Khalsa Panth" and said that the overwhelming victory has filled him and his party "with profound humility, gratitude and a huge sense of responsibility towards the Sikh masses who have placed their faith in the Shiromani Akali Dal. "
"The verdict should also teach a lesson to the Congress party and its stooges that the Sikhs will never tolerate any interference in their religious affairs. The way the entire government in Delhi and Congress leaders like the External Affairs Minister of State Ms. Parneet Kaur and Captain Amaridner Singh campaigned for the Sarnas had left the Sikhs in doubt that the fight really was between the Khalsa Panth and the Congress and its stooges. The verdict was therefore never in doubt. I hope the Congress leaders at the national level also draw the right lesson from it," said Mr. Badal.
The Chief Minister further said that "The historic verdict, coming away from Punjab and in the teeth of opposition by the Congress government in Delhi, carries a historic message. After the overwhelming response which the SAD had received from the Sikh masses in Punjab, Himachal Pardesh and Haryana, this thumping victory in Delhi now has proved yet again that Shiromani Akali Dal is the sole representative of the religious and political aspirations of the Sikh masses all over the world. The verdict also signals a rejection of the accomplices of the anti-Sikh Congress party," said Mr. Badal in a statement here.
Mr. Badal thanked the discerning voters of Delhi for delivering a forceful mandate in favour of the SAD and a telling blow to those who conspired with the enemies of the Panth and worked against the glory of the highest religious institutions of the Sikhs. The results of the DSGMC are the strongest proof, if proof indeed was needed, that the Sikh masses never compromise on the highest traditions of the religion and punish any attempt to challenge its highest institutions. The attempts to denigrate these religious traditions and institutions have been delivered a decisive blow, "said Mr. Badal.
The SAD patron-in-chief declared that his party would honour each and every word of the commitments it had made with Sikh Sangat during the campaign. "We regard this as a sacred mission and the faith reposed in us by the Sikh masses has increased our sense of responsibility towards them. There are long pending issues of the Sikh masses in Delhi that need to be addressed and we will get down to solving these from day one. We regard this verdict as very sacred," said Mr. Badal.
The SAD supremo also thanked the leaders and workers of Shiromani Akali Dal  who worked tirelessly day and night to ensure the ouster of the stooges of the anti-Sikh Congress from the holy Sikh shrines.
Mr. Badal also thanked all religious and other organization and personalities who contributed to the victory of the SAD in this historic poll.
