CHANDIGARH, JANUARY 8
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today asked the DGP Jails to entrust an inquiry to IG Jails to thoroughly probe into the incident in which three inmates escaped from Central Jail Amritsar.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that the Chief Minister directed the DGP jails to ascertain the causes and circumstances which led to this incident besides suggesting remedial measures to ensure such incidents were not repeated in future. Mr. Badal also asked the DPG Jails to submit the inquiry report within a week.
