Medal for Gallantry on the occasion of Republic Day-2013. Mr. Iqbal Preet Singh
Sahota, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh, Punjab and
Mr. Santokh Singh, Inspector, Phillaur, Punjab have been awarded
President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.

Chahal, SSP , Fazilka, Mr. Yurinder Singh, SSP , Jalandhar, Mr.
Gursharan Singh Sandhu, SP, Phillaur, Mr. Gurmeet Singh, SP, Bathinda,
Mr. Amrik Singh Powar, ADCP-II Amritsar, Mr Angrej
Singh, Inspector, CIA, Jalandhar, Mr. Bimal Kant, Inspector,
Jalandhar , Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Inspector, CIA, Patiala and
Mr. Mahesh Kumar, Inspector, Kurali have been awarded Police Medal for
Meritorious Service on the occasion.
NATIONAL VOTER’S DAY CELEBRATED IN
PUNJAB
National
Voter Day was celebrated all over the state with all employees taking oath to
exercise their right of franchise rising above linguistic community, caste or
religious consideration to strengthen the democratic institutions of the
country.
In a
function organized in the election office, the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer
Mr. Sukhdev Lal administered the oath to all employees of the office.
In a
separate function in the Information & Public Relations department,
Additional Secretary-cum-Additional Director of the department Mr. Gurwaryam
Singh administered the oath to the employees as they vowed to ensure to vote
without any duress or pressure to strengthen the democratic conventions of the
country.
