Govt seeks information regarding CPF, DA and other arrears of IAS/PCS officers

The Punjab Government has issued strict instruction to all the departments to furnish data of deduction of contributory pension fund (CPF), dearness allowance (DA) and other arrears of IAS/PCS officers.
Disclosing this here, an official spokesperson of the Personnel Department said that departmental heads have been told to submit data of monthly deduction under new pension scheme CPF, dearness allowance and other arrears of IAS/PCS officers appointed on or after January 1, 2004 from the date of their joining up till March 31, 2011, but some of the departments have yet not furnished the required information.
The spokesperson further said that departmental heads have been strictly asked to submit the requisite details to Deputy Director, Pension/New Pension Scheme, Tower No.4, Forest Complex, Sector-68, SAS Nagar besides one copy to Department of Personnel.
ONLY SECRETARY LEVEL OFFICERS ENTITLED TO TRAVEL IN BUSINESS CLASS
A spokesperson of the Punjab Government today clarified that in the case of international travels, officers whose grade pay is Rs.10,000 and above and whose status is equivalent to the level of secretary and above would be entitled to business/club class in cases where the one way flying time is more than eight hours. He said that all other officers of the state government would be entitled to travel by economy class. Directions in this regard have been issued to all Heads of Departments, Commissioners of Divisions and Deputy Commissioners of the state.
DEPARTMENTS TOLD TO SUBMIT REPLY IN COURT CASES TIMELY
 The Punjab Government has issued directions to all the departments to submit their response to the court cases to the Finance Department well in time.
According to an official spokesperson, directions have been issued to all the departments that files pertaining to court cases would be sent to the Finance Department at least fifteen days prior to the date of hearing for proper examination in the Finance Department. 
The spokesperson further said that the court cases, where the policy of the Finance Department has been challenged or subject of the court case entailed financial implications, the replies to be filed by the departments should be got vetted from Finance Department positively. Directions in the regard have been issued to all the Financial Commissioners, Principal Secretaries and Administrative Secretaries of all the departments.
