Modi's hat-trick is a positive vote for development:Sukhbir

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badaltoday said that the vote for Mr. Narender Modi for third consecutive term in Gujarat was a ‘vote for development’ and people of Gujarat have followed the Punjab example by putting a stamp of approval on development agenda.
          Talking to media persons after inaugurating Rs. 15 crore ROB and newly built Rs. 42 Lac Sub-Tehsil Complex here today Mr. Badal said that gone were the days when you can sway the electorate by caste and communal cards as now electorates have become mature enough to see through the notorious games of Congress Party being played since last 65 years. 
He said that Gujarat election marks the beginning of decimation of Congress from political scene of India as people of country have made up their minds to put the last nail in the coffin of Congress Party in 2014 elections. Mr. Badal said that when we fought elections on development plank, we were mocked at by the Congress Party and now in Gujarat elections our stand gets vindicated. He decried Congress Party for launching a negative campaign against incumbent parties in Punjab and Gujarat and advised them to play the constructive role of opposition rather than pin pricking the Governments on non issues,
           Charging Punjab Pradesh Congress Party of running away from debate in Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Badal said that Congress MLAs have failed to discharge their duties for which they have been elected by the people of Punjab. He said that on the situation of Law and Order we had tabled the data complied by the Congress led UPA Government that has declared Punjab as the most peaceful state as far as crime figures were concerned. He pointed out that Congress rule states like Kerala, Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi having worst law & order situation as they have witnessed large scale crimes going on there. He said that by disapproving the debate they have shown their lack of confidence in their own parties Government in New Delhi.
           Expressing concern over deteriorating Law and Order situation in National Capital, Mr. Badal said that broad daylight rapes, increasing robberies, zero recoveries has put Union Home Ministry in dock and Union Home Minister, Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde was answerable to the citizens of India for his total failure to protect the lives and properties of citizens of Delhi.
           Unveiling the plan to upgrade the infrastructure of Urban and Rural areas, Mr. Badal said that he has already approved the plan of Rs. 31000 crore for integrated development of 12745 villages and Rs. 9000 crore plan for improving civic amenities in 143 towns of Punjab. He said that by December 2013 all thermal plants in Punjab would be operational making Punjab first Power surplus state of the country and all cities of Punjab would be interlinked by 4/6 lane roads at the cost of Rs. 16000 crore. He said that highest placement of IIT Ropar has proved one fact that Punjab is all set to become future education hub of the country. He said that within next four years Punjab would have the world class infrastructure with special emphasis on quality education and health facilities.
Earlier, addressing a gathering in newly built sub-tehsil complex, the Deputy Chief Minister said that SAD-BJP government would all out efforts to develop Morinda and Chamkaur Sahib areas as these cities have great historic and religious importance.
