The Punjab government today placed the services of Mr.
Vimal Setia, PCS, District Transport Officer, Amritsar under suspension with immediate
effect.
According to an official spokesman, Mr. Setia has been
placed under suspension for failure to discharge his duty to check plying of
illegal buses in the district Amritsar.
He said that this amounted to grate indiscipline and taking serious note of
this the Punjab government has decided to
place him under suspension with immediate effect.
