Three INSPIRE
awardee students of Punjab schools would get a rare opportunity to have a
special interaction with President of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on March 22 at New Delhi.
Disclosing this here today, Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka,
Education Minister Punjab said that three students namely Jaspreet Kaur,
Government High School, Dhulkot (Muktsar), Sahil Dwivedi, St. Francis School,
Amritsar and Jagdeep Singh, Government Middle School, Mandiala, Amritsar, have
got National Awards during National Level Inspire Award Exhibition. He said
that the Punjab government was committed to develop the scientific temperament
amongst school students so that they should opt for science stream for higher
studies. He said that the state government was laying emphasis on the quality
study of science subjects in government schools.
Meanwhile, Mr. K.S. Pannu, DGSE has directed the
District Education Officers and District Science Supervisors, Muktsar and
Amritsar to ensure that these awardees along with their medals, identity cards
and certificates should report at Department of Science & Technology, New
Delhi on March 21.
