CHANDIGARH, MARCH 8
The Punjab Government has decided to provide one last chance for issuance of Red Identity Card registration to the heads of Sikh families, who migrated to Punjab between 1 November 1984 to 11 December 1985 in wake of Anti-Sikh Riots of 1984. This is being provided to all those families, who could not get themselves registered earlier to avail the concessions and other facilities provided by Government from time to time.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesman said that it has been observed that some affected families could not avail the concessions and facilities being provided by the government, so the decision to provide an additional and last chance to the remaining families has been taken by the State Government. He said that the remaining families, who could not get themselves registered in the list of Red Identity Cards, can apply for registration and issuance of Red Identity Cards before the last date i.e. April 8, 2013.
The spokesman informed that the application can be submitted with the concerned Deputy Commissioner on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 25 along with the full details of the affected family.
