CPI (M) to ‘expose’ UPA Govt’s anti-people and anti-nation policies

CPI (M) Sangarsh Sandesh Jatha will expose the anti-people, anti- nation, Neo-liberal economic policies of the Congress led UPA Government and the involvement of the big business houses, politicians and bureaucrats in various scams which are outcome of the Neo liberal economic policies. The CPI (M) have launch Sangarsh Sandesh Jatha March from four corners of India. The first Jatha started from Kanyakumari on February 24 for Delhi is being led by Comrade S R Pillai, Polit Bureau member CPI (M). The other Jathas have started from Kolkata, Amritsar and Mumbai for Delhi which would be led by Comrade Parkash Karat, General Secy, Com Brinda Karat, and Comrade Sita Ram Yechuri, Polit Bureau members of CPI (M) respectively.
Comrade Raghunath Singh, State Secretariat member CPI (M) and Com Najar Singh Distt. Secretary of Mohali and Chandigarh said that the Sangarsh Sandesh Jatha will also promote the message of struggle for alternative policies and would address the issues and basic demands concerning the vast majority of toiling people. The Jatha would also project the unity of the working class against all hues of communalism, castism and regionalism.
The Sangarsh Sandesh Jatha which started from Amritsar under the leadership of Comrade Brinda Karat Polit Bureau member reached Chandigarh on Sunday. It  will be greeted at Sector 20 by the leaders and workers of CPI (M) along with several trade Union leaders near the Masjid. Jatha  Com. Brinda Karat and other all India leaders of the CPI (M) addressed the meeting.
The Sangarsh Sandesh Jatha would highlight the following basic demands of the INDIAN people:
1.     Implement land reform policies by distributing surplus land to the landless and to guarantee house plots to the homeless people.
2.     Record beating price rise of essential commodities be curbed and universal right to 35 KG food grains at the price of Rs. 2.00 per KG per month for every family be ensured and fraudulent calculations about APL / BPL should be scrapped
3.     To ensure right to education and right to health.
4.     Privatization and commercialization of health and safe drinking water be stopped.
5.     Right to employment should be included in the fundamental right of the constitution.
6.     Public investment be increased to ensure creation of new jobs and ban on recruitment be lifted and time bound recruitment of all vacancies particularly for SC / ST and OBC back log. Days of work under MANREGA scheme should be increased and it should also be expanded to urban areas.
7.     Violence against the women should be curbed and 33% reservation for women in legislatures and parliament be ensured. All types of discrimination and practice of un-touch ability against dalits should be stopped and equal opportunities in education and job be provided for minorities.
8.     Effective LOKPAL legislation should be with autonomous powers of investigation be enacted.
9.     Black money stashed in foreign banks should be brought back and loss caused due to scams should be recovered from the corporate and corrupt politicians / bureaucrats and culprits should be jailed.
