Mr Chawla from Mastertrust gave a presentation on SEBI guidelines and said that “the Indian industry is looking upwards and going through a transitionary phase, it is perhaps the most important phase where market regulators like SEBI can play a role in ensuring that the growth happens for the larger good. This is the reason it has handed down certain strong rules and regulations with reference to new companies looking to file in papers for trading in the stock market.
Mr Iqbal Singh, Managing Director, Innovative consultants stated that “Investing in securities such as shares, debentures, and bonds is profitable as well as exciting. It is indeed rewarding, but involves a great deal of risk and calls for scientific knowledge as well artistic skill”. He further added that Creation of a portfolio helps to reduce risk, without sacrificing returns. An investor who understands the fundamental principles and analytical aspects of portfolio management has a better chance of success.

Mr. Dalip Sharma, Regional Director, PHD Chamber said that “The Indian Securities market is though a vibrant, efficient, transparent one, a reasonably safe and secure place for savers and investors, institutions and individuals, but human ingenuity knows no bounds. We at PHD Chamber feel that there is a need to arm investors with the resources and knowledge effectively so that they can safely manage their investments”.
