Govt directs to act against teachers teaching from guides

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 14

  The Punjab Government today directed the Education Department to take strict action against the teachers, who preferred to teach from guides instead of doing manual work on the blackboard in classrooms.

          According to an official spokesman of Education Department that the necessary instructions have been issued to the concerned authorities to act against the teachers using guides during school hours. He said that it has been observed that students were forced to buy guides in some areas of the state as their teachers also uses guides in classrooms instead of using blackboards. He said that this has come to fore during the classes of mathematics.

          The Spokesman said that now the school heads would be bound to ensure the use of blackboards and complete ban on use of guides by teachers. He said that the requisite instructions have been issued to all the District Education Officers in this regard.
